MYT DC10-10s to Scandic???

Anyone else heard this rumour? I have been told MYT have sold the 3 -10's currently in Exeter, and that Air Scandic are recruiting DC10 crews. Coincidence??

I was led to believe that the 10's were being broken up in EXT. After all they were not the most reliable of the MYT fleet.

Also I was under the impression Scandic were getting 2 A300-600 early next year to replace GSWJW and GTTMC.

It would have made more sense for AV8 to buy the 10's off MYT as they seem to have recruited most of their crew from MYT. Would substantially lower training costs.

That Air Scandic livery on the AB4's is just plain awful. I think it's one of the worst around! Just looks cheap, nasty and hastily applied, almost as if designed on an old BBC computer!

Take it from someone who knows - the livery WAS designed on a BBC computer.
And what's more - said computer is still in service!

Can only hope that when new aircraft arrive....they will be in new colours !!!

I'd heard the DC10-30's were coming from Finnair...would figure! Haven't 2 just been returned to Finnair from AOM???

Not clever getting DC-10s if you ever decide to operate into/out of LGW at night. Noise restrictions are pretty tight for QC4+ aircraft. Buy them by all means but dont replace the AB4s with them.

Engine runs are being carried out on at least one of them - G-TAOS - would they do this if they were to be scrapped?

Scandic are not getting the 10's from MYT.

They are however getting a 10 from somewhere as they have been recruiting crews, but I have no idea where from.
