Heard a wee while ago that ATC at Heathrow have been drawing lots to see who will control Concorde(s) on the final approach and that Ivor Sims won. He, apparently, also controlled the first Concorde departure from Heathrow!

What a wonderful experience!

May I ask if there are any apocryphal Concorde stories from ATC? How different is it to control from other aircraft? and ... finally... what will be the series of frequencies used for these final approaches today please. I understand someone may have a scanner and might wish to listen in! :E

Anyone else? what will be the frequencies please? As the scanner is usually listened to in SE England the LHR approach frequencies are not known!!
