Hi!

Just a quick note to all the controllers I've talked with over the past couple of weeks at both Thames Radar and Farnborough Radar. Thanks to your help slotting my flights in, I managed to give a 13 year old kid the best birthday present of his life (so far) with a trip to the Duxford Autumn Airshow complete with two crossings of the City Zone. He even enjoyed the holding for a Fokker on the ILS on the way back - not so sure I liked it though: those houses looked horribly close even from 2300' ! :\

Just a week later, I was able to give myself the biggest grin when I shot my first ILS (with an instructor) and at the MDA popped the foggles off to see Farnborough lit up like a Christmas tree directly in front of me - a truly wonderful sight after 75 minutes of pure "concentration" under the hood flying holds around EPM!

Thanks again guys and gals - I'm looking forwards to meeting some of you at the GatBash. Who knows - I might even buy a drink or two!

MD.
