Delays this morning were caused by having just 1 working de-icer rig out of the 4 or 5 that Fernley have. After de-icing the KLM the rig then went tech, the rest of the aircraft had to wait for the ice to melt when the sun rose

Pathetic! The company should be brought to task over this. LBA now has 15+ based airliners is on a hill and the weather was forcast. The cost to the operators must sureley make it worth purchasing their own rig, maybe Multiflight should buy one! Oh no maybe not, their BBJ will be hangared wont it! Get it sorted LBA make sure this does not happen again!

This type of situation will get even more interesting when the planned EU delay compensation payments to airline passengers kicks in next year! :ooh:

I seem to remember that about this time last year the exact same problem occured. However it looks like Servisair are doing something about it !!! One of their rigs has appeared on the eastern end of the apron overnight. Perhaps this is the last chance for Fernley.

Why invest in non revenue generating capital expenditure?

Who suffers, the passengers!
