Hi ppruners

I’m just about to choose and commence an ATPL distance learning course. Very interested in Bristol Ground School as they seem to have lots of satisfied customers. Also, as I live near Bournemouth I am quite intested in GTS, but I have seen very little on the forum supporting them. Any information from recent or current GTS people - much appreciated. Tkx.

I considered using them for my ATPL's. I found them very helpful and professional when I spoke to them but in the end I went with BGS instead. I found the notes at BGS were superior and their CD-ROM was great too.

Go with GTS

Good bunch of chaps there- they know their stuff. Different people have differing opinions on whether their notes or those of BGS are better. But my opinion- save yourself the money.

For the record- all passed 1st time, average over 90.

Good luck.

The guys at GTS know their stuff!

All are ex PPSC and specialise in various areas and are internationally published. They only usually have a small number of students on their consolidation courses and are available by email or phone during office hours and somtimes later on during the day and at weekends. You will not find , as with many other schools, great big glossy ads in amateur flying mags and classes of 20, 30 or even 40 students being given exam questions as their 'consolidation'.

Their stats speak for themselves and its a no bullsh#t approach. No gimmicks ie CDs or glossy brochures that incidentaly you all pay for in your courses! Just very thorough notes and first class tuition. There were only 3 of us on our consolidation and it was like having 1 on 1 teaching. The 3 of us decided what we needed to brush up on and we asked for and got it. No berks at the back of the class who couldn't be a~sed to read their notes taking all of the tutors time.

Finally both myself and another guy who I sms'd today got a 100% pass rate. All with good marks.

If you live in B'mouth you will also save yourself the cost of a B&B for 4 weeks and the travelling time to and from another city.

whatever you decide good luck and stick at it!!!
