UGANDA Air Cargo has gone into a joint venture with Uganda Development Corporation of Australia (UDCA) to buy two helicopters.
Nick Mountstephen, the UDCA executive officer said last week, the $2.4m project will include leasing one of the helicopters to the Government while the second will be used for commercial purposes.
"Through the joint venture we have established a new company called Uganda Air Charter that will bring in two helicopters and they will be here by February next year," he said during a briefing at the Uganda Investment Authority headquarters in Kampala.
Uganda Air Cargo is fully owned by the Government.
