Anyone know of a good pilot shop in the vicinity of Bournemouth?
Specifically I am looking for a good, up to date (with regards the JAA ATPL learning objectives) book for Pistons, Gas Turbines and Propellors.

I'm afraid that ATPL learning objectives are a bit of a mystery to me, but for those subjects you could try the campus bookshop at Southampton University which is only a short run down the M27. Last I was there, there were a few good texts on aero-engine design in there.
Failing that, it might be worth the effort of driving or flying down to Shoreham and raiding the giant Transair shop on the airport there.

N.B. The definitive book on how turbine engines work is "The jet engine by Rolls Royce", by a staggering co-incidence I just noticed this copy for sale on eBay. (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2958225611&category=4783)
