View Full Version : High Wing Turbine in YPAD?

Hey All

Just wondering if anyone noticed an unusual turbine aircraft in YPAD this morning. I spotted what looked like a high wing (cessna?) turbine aircraft on a left base for 23 at about 9:30 this morning.

It was definately a turbine aircraft. At first glance I thought it may have been a PC12, but it was smaller and definately high wing.

Any ideas?

Cheers. N

If it looked classy it was probably Ace on Base's new IFR Cessna 208B, PT6A-41 conversion.

He has a rich father you know!!! :} :} :}

I suspect what you saw was a turbine converted C210.

Not sure when it arrived but departed late on Sunday. Its a Walter conversion and is based at Port Lincoln or nearby at the strip SW of there.

Mostly white paint scheme and operated privately by an engineer that felt like experimenting!

VH-TFN.

Thanks for your reply. I assumed it was TFN but when I looked up the aircrafts details via Registration Search it came up with this...

Aircraft Engine Information
Engine Make: CONTNTAL
Engine Model: IO-520
Power Type: RECIPROCATING

I didn't realise TFN had been converted. Thanks anyway!
