Have you been called for 2nd interview? If so you should get it in the full final interview package that should arrive approx 1 month before the trip.

Good Luck, Sim ride is a ******

CX-2B - I got the confirmation for 2nd interview... sometime next year (assume it's according to the Lunar Calender).

I presume it's gonna be the 47-400 sim?

Cheers

They are using the 747-200 sim. Thats what everyone i have heard and myself used recently. You should get your package about 1 month before the trip. There is not much to memorize in the sim profile, just some bug speeds and a profile. They will give you more info in your briefing before the sim eval.

Good luck

DE F/O (Freighter): 744 sim
S/O: 742 sim

Different profiles for F/O & S/O.
S/O profile doesnt include Eng Fail etc (just some steep turns and 2 ILS's)

Did the sim for DE Freight FO in the 742. It was a bitch. Yes, there is an engine fire, precautionary shut down. Two ILS's, one on SE. Absolute no autopilot or assistance form your NFP. Almost single pilot ops except flaps, gear if you call for it. Oh yeah, and a go around and full stop landing. Crazy altitude you have to hold, like 3800 feet. Steep turns, all the way into a stick shaker.
Read the whole thing when you do the group execise. Assume nothing, like C. Yeager or N. Armstrong are actually dudes.
Inertia, inertia, inertia!!! Manage it well!:ok:

bumboclot... guess we'll find out what is meant by "group exercise" in short order.

bumboclot...

I found out what the group exercise is. The focus is on team work, with 6 or so dudes, working at a table to develop a strategy to slove problems.

The team is watched by 2 HR freaks and 2 Pilots.
