Centenary of Flight?

Hello All,

Anyone heard of planned bashes/airshows in RSA to celebrate 100 years of flight?

So far I've only heard of the PE Air Festival 13-16 Dec. The anniversary is 17 Dec.

Seems like a good reason for a p-up and a couple of reunions?

Hello Douglas,

As far as I know Ysterplaat Air-Force Base in Cape Town will be hosting an airshow on the first week-end in November. Will come back to you on that though.

Whenever it is , i will certainly be there; their last show was trully a fantastic spectacle!

The Ysterplaat airshow is on 8 November, while the TFDC Fly-In is on 15 November. An almost complete list of airshows in southern Africa is available on my website (www.SAairforce.co.za). ;)

I also know that the Cape Aero Club is having a dinner on 29 November 2003 to celebrate 100 years of flight. :ok:
