Heard a rumour that Flamingo are either re-equiping or adding another type. Can anyone confirm?

Hi,

ZFT,

Flamingo Airlines will from today operate under the Kenya Airways brand name in a franchise agreement between the two companies.

KA will handle all Flamingo Airlines operations.

According to a statement, the franchise will give passengers connections on the KA network, which will enable them to earn miles on the Flying Dutchman programme.

"Domestic routes will now be booked through the Galileo system making them more visible and easy to access," the statement added.

"At the same time, Flamingo will from November 1 start operating ATR's turbo aircraft in domestic and regional flights.

The aircraft have a sitting capacity of 48, more leg room, large overhead bins and washrooms".

Flamingo Airlines used to operate ATR's turbo aircraft on some of their Domestic routes. This turned out badly for them (ALS)........the aircrafts where always U/S.
Do not get your hopes up to high. Most of the time there is delays or a broken ATR which is then replaced by a 1900B
As for earning miles on the Flying Dutchman programme this has been in for some time now.

Chow for now
