Rumors abound that FlyBe will be pulling out of Paris (loosing the CDG-BHX route) possibly as early as Jan 2004. The route could be done by Brit Air using their Fokker 100.

I heard the news from 4 or 5 different people from Air France managers to pilots and Brit Air crews. Of course nothing on paper yet.

Is this the beginning of the end of their long partership?

Why don't Air France operate into birmingham as they used to instead of a subsiduary or partnership with a nother airline ie flybe?

Maybe KLC Cityhopper will operate the BHX-CDG. The start of the synergy?

What is the exact nature of the AF/FlyBE relationship?

Is it a franchise? if so, for how long?
Is it a multiple wet-lease?
Is it a code-share or revenue share?
Is it a marketing arrangement?
.... or are they just good friends?

No , they are not just good friends,.
AF have FlyBe stitched up like a kipper.
There is apparently another 3 years left to run on the contract.
FlyBe needs to loose this one to man the new bases at SOU & BRS.
Oh what a tangled web they have weaved.
