Class 1 medical renewal

I've not flown in a while but I am just about to restart but my last class 1 medical expired at the end of 2000. My last medical certificate says that I needed an electrocardiogram and audiogram at the end of 2001.
Do I have to go back down to the CAA at Gatwick to renew it or can a certified regional doctor do it?

A certified regional doctor can do it. A heck of a lot cheaper than the initial Class 1. Check the CAA's website for a list of doctors.
