I see from Air Wales website that the early morning rotation has been withdrawn - now only the evening return Mon-Fri & Sun.

Wonder is this simply due to poor load factors or is there some other reason - it does seem likely that this route's days may be numbered.

Anyone any more info?

may have somethinbg to do with the competition from BMIBaby, with the BFS-CLW route.

You could be right although I've heard that Bmibaby's load factors on this route are less than healthy and there has been talk that they had considered pulling the plug!

How long have bmibaby flown to Clearwater (CLW) from Belfast ?:D .... and whats that got to do with competition on Air Wales' Cardiff(CWL) to Belfast Harbour route ;)

Have noticed that outbound sector to CWL on this route now seems to operate via DUB - perhaps an indication of the death knell sounding - does anyone have any indication of Bmibaby's load factors on the BFS-CWL?

Eh Hello?

Air Wales website now says route is to be withdrawn from Oct 24th. Seem to be growing big time on CWL-DUB though - hopefully the single daily ryanair will be enough to keep bmibaby from getting in there too?

Where to for 6G ? Aren't some of the Irish subsidised routes up for grabs for next January?

Another route from BHD bites the dust - sad really - considering the recent Aer Arann debacle this now totals 2 services started and lost from BHD since the start of this year.

The Aer Arann was doomed to failure from the start due to poor timings and the Air Wales was continually dogged by delays so perhaps little surprise.

One can only hope BHD are doing something to replace these routes with something more viable!

Will the recently announced Route Development Fund attract the right new routes or will we see a number of start-ups and withdrawals?
