Ha! The TV programme has been postponed.
Oh the irony!

How unusual for anything connected with Eurofighter to be delayed.....

Anyone know the new, revised ISD, oops broadcast date?

Just before the replacement programme started, it was mentioned that 'Weapon of Mass Construction' will now be shown in "November".

Well you surely didn't expect a precise date!! ;)

Which year though?

No doubt when first planned it was to have been in colour, widescreen and with Dolby 5.1 sound. But when delivered it will probably be in monochrome. 4:3 and in mono......and late!

But I'm sure it wouldn't be late if your beloved Airbus had got the contract, eh BEags....

Is the delayed prog going to be hopelessly over budget too?

Rushed home - to see a bunch of idiots running around Newcastle instead:confused:

Oh my God.... Where is Jackonicko to defend the mighty Bureaufighter in it's hour of need?

Who will save it from this onslaught of cruel (and accurate) banter?

I could be wrong but I seem to remember watching a program of the same title on one of the freeview channels some weeks -possibly even some months ago. Best guess would be it was on BBC3. Reasonably interesting but nothing jaw dropping.

First broadcast on BBC4, early July 2003.

No-one in their right mind would pretend that Eurofighter isn't embarrassingly late.

BUT it will be a great aeroplane, and at least it's not quite as late (or in such technical trouble) as the F-22, and promises to be a more useful and versatile air power tool than the JSF that the poor old Aussies have been saddled with.

Well, goldspot, I don't think that Airbus ever considered building the Bureaufighter, did they?

But Mako might be another matter, of course.

Jacko - F-22 has always been considered by the US as a 'slow' programme as they already have ample and very capable aircraft to meet all their current requirements. Hence there isn't the same urgency as there is with Bureaufighter - which has to replace some seriously tired old BritMil hardware!

A very interesting programme - saw it on the satellite telly in July. Even better that it lays most of the balme for the delays at the feet of the French and Germans.
