Am interested to know what is the longest distance scheduled service regularly flown by a 146/ARJ. I believe the longest from the UK is SOU-AGP at 998 miles however i believe the longest Worldwide is Qantas Airlink from Perth to Alice Springs at 1227miles using 141/142/143. There is also a National Jet Systems service from Christmas Island - Indian Ocean to Perth operated with an AR70 at 1619 miles which seems a very long distance for a regular scheduled service on this arcraft type. I wonder if this service actually makes a fuel stop? Anyone any thoughts?
Thanks

It seems to be Cocos Island, Indian Ocean, to Perth, Western Australia, once a week, scheduled at 4 hours 15 minutes, and part of the Christmas Island circuit operated by National Jet of Australia described at the top of this post. The flight from Christmas Island to Perth (twice a week) is 20 minutes shorter.

Westbound flights to the islands can't make it direct from Perth (prevailing wind) and have to stop off at Leamouth, WA.

It's like doing Gander to Prestwick in a 146 !

LC did indeed operate MAN-AGP on a 142 with Y101. I will never forget the 8 hour overnight delay in the horrible old AGP terminal!

Great circle shows the distance as 1157mi:

BHX-DBV is 1153 mi:

Coco Island-PER is 1824mi:

MAN-GIB was operated on a 142 as well (of BRAL) after GB stopped operating it with their 732 - 1197mi:

Thanks for all your comments. Looks like the National Jet Service tfrom Perth to Cocos Island is the longest ARJ route at 1619 mines and the longest 146 route is Perth to Kununurra Western Australia at 1379 mines. This service used to be operated by Ansett 146-200s and is to be reintroduced by Qantas Airlink in May 2004.
