Has anyone got any info about Air Astana. Where are they based, what is their fleet comprised of?

Thanks.

JJ,

Kittos!

However, I wanted some info on their new 757s - nothing on the web-site about them.

I don't think they have them yet. I saw an article in one of the local English language supplements saying they were going to purchase 757's so that they can expand their network - I'll have a better idea next week when I get to Almaty and have a scout around. They have a much better level of service than Air Kazakhstan and a much younger fleet, I guess that's because BAe.... has a 50% stake in the company.

The first 757 is being accepted this week before heading for the paint-shop.

Is intended to be in service at the start of the winter schedule, 26th October.
