I need to take my Switlik CO2 aircrew lifevest as hand luggage for a forthcoming trip. Is this going to be allowed?

Thanks,

David

It will probably be regarded as dangerous goods. Youll have to declare it and get it shipped properly.

I tried to send a Life Raft away for servicing the other day and had to disharge the co2 bottle by pulling the lenyard. Before they would accept it for shipping.

Youll probably say that it is approved, but they will say we allready have approved ones on the Plane.

Just to let you know at BA you are permitted to take one lifejacket with a cylinder and also one spare co2 cylinder in cabin baggage. If it's an automatic one it has to be disarmed, I think.
