SN Brussels Airlines made a net profit in the second quarter of 2,9 million Euro.
The leasing contracts of our current Avro fleet will gradually come to an end as from December 2005 and it’s time to start preparing for the future of our fleet. The introduction of new aircraft will have a major impact on all areas of our company.
Regarding the capacity needs, the technical needs and the operational requirements will be carried out. Eventhough a lot of technical aspects are involved, I can assure you that at all times the decision-making process will be fully in line with our entire business strategy, including its commercial elements. At this moment all options regarding the type/capacity of the future aircraft, ranging from 50-seaters to 180-seaters, are still open. Presentations from all key manufacturers (Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, etc.) will be organised in order to take a deliberate decision.
