Looking for a heads-up from anyone working in either of these two airlines. Hoping to ID90 from LHR-JNB on the 24/25 Sept.
Can anyone tell me "privately" what the loads are like for either Virgin or South African on those dates.
Plan "B" involves 3 flights through the Middle East, so i would prefer to avoid it!

PS, not presently close to the UK, so I cant ring either airline :)
Presuming you wish to return , flights from Johannesburg can be full and i/d90 risky. Having said that it is the start of their summer so MIGHT not be too bad. Have a good one!

I know that public info is nowhere near as good as the real loads, but in case you don't get any better help and don't already know about these sites, I use http://www.aeroplan.de/ap_rb_galileo.htm , http://www.etour.co.jp/Solar/index.html (both also available via http://www.seatmap.com/ ) and http://flyaow.com/classual.htm . The slight drawback is that the first two show German and Japanese market availability and the last American, so they're not always entirely accurate for the UK market. None of which makes a jot of difference to how much they've actually booked, of course.

Thanks for the info, it gives me an idea about what tickets to bring with me.
zed3, the plan brings me back to the Middle East on one of our scheduled flights, so getting back north isnt an issue.

If tha's EK then they are also nearly always full from what I have experienced (was upgraded to First from Business) and heard!!!
