If anyone is interested the following is from the Air Service Commission this month.

Qantas has been given permission to commence the proposed code share with Cathay Pacific on 600 seats to Italy

The big new story of the month was the signing of a new agreement with China. There are now 8500 seats per week available to SYD,MEL,BNE and PER with all other ports having unrestricted access. Almost a doubling of available capacity up from 4300!! The Chinese airlines have been wanting more seats to Australia...

The air service agreement with Indonesia has been updated. There are now 11120 seats per week available for services to SYD,MEL,BNE and PER with Qantas/Australian being allocated 5260 of these. All other ports now have unrestricted access. There is also allowance in the agreement for Australian carriers to operate to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand from Indonesia of which Qantas/Australian utilise frequencies to Singapore.

Heavylift have been granted permission for their freight services to PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, so their proposed aircraft (2 x 727's and the Belfast) should arrive shortly. They still have an outstanding application for freight services to Nauru and New Caledonie.

Have the Heavylift 727's arrived yet?
Is it true that the TAA 721 (-TBS) is on the market?
Are they looking for technical support?
