The Just Planes website reporting that Sterling (Denmark) has just joined the world of TUI. A good fit ... B737-700/800. http://www.justplanes.com/NewsS5.html

Definitely a rumour worthy of PPRuNe, mpenage, although TUI do not admit to owning Sobelair either, so Justplanes.com may have it wrong. While there is no announcement from TUI (http://www.tui.com/en/pressemedien/press_releases/index.html), I note that Sterling (http://www.sterlingticket.com/en/om_sterling_en/nyheder_en/pressemeddelelser_en.htm?PressID=8307) released the following somewhat misty statement today:

PRESS RELEASE

Copenhagen, 3 September 2003

Sterling

Referring to comments in the market connected to Sterling, our Norwegian owners have published the following statement:

“It is noted that certain comments in the market refer to a possible transaction involving Sterling, which is owned 50 % by each of Ganger Rolf ASA and Bonheur ASA. Sterling is experiencing a positive growth and various strategic opportunities for the further development of the company are being explored. The market will be informed should any such substantiate.”

Best regards

Sterling

It doesn't exactly say "No." Has someone released the proverbial feline from the luggage, I wonder?
