Anyone have any thoughts about working in Mainland China? I've read threads mentioning everything from C208 on amphibs to RJs to Boeings.

Everyone talks about China as if in aviation terms in begins and ends in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Surely there is more to it. Or do poor working conditions and low pay ($1300 per month for a 737 Captain is one figure I read) ensure that these two places are the only realistic options there?

The Chinese DCA operates a big training school in Chengdu, Sichuan. Are they able to keep up with their need for pilots with this place and so don't have to hire ex-pats?
