Does anyone know if the RAF is still to get 6 ex saaf pumas, word has it that they have been cancelled.

My info is that they are in a hangar at a not so secret airfield awaiting the de mod to put them down to RAF specs!
The RAF are paying about £14 M to de-mod the aircraft! It is alleged that they have the new Mickelle (SP!) engines in them and that just like all the MT we have ever had we are paying to have them downgraded. The only person that can answer this question is McSweat! Where are you? Tell us the answer!

De-Mod...I am assuming you mean removing the fluffy dice and pin stripes!

They have Turmo 4 rather then the present Turmo IIIC4 and the cockpit is not UP TO present Britmil standards. Believe them to be at What A Sham which is quite appropriate really;)
Now a sqn of tiger striped NH90 would be useful, could even make it beige in lieu of yellow for when they go t.. desert!
I pulled the yellow and black handle today: Yipee...... Gizza job!
