Does anyone know where there are DH82s for training/private hire around the Brisbane/Toowoomba/Coast area?

Cheers

Barry Hempel at Archerfield should be able to help you with a Tiger.

Wayne Smith (Smithy) at Caloundra, who has a Tiger (a real one with tail skid & no wheel brakes) and also knows of at least one other for hire at Redcliffe.

Yeah I'd second that for Smithy.

Good bloke, worth a visit, got an office opposite the Air museum.
Money well spent:)

ure better off having one that has brakes. that way u can stop if u want to with out shutting the engine down... my 2cents worth anyway. I remember seeing a tiger right off an aeroplane once due to the fact it taxied into it this tiger had a skid and no brakes.

So what your saying KIKI is that whenever a challenge arises just take the easy option?

Running into things in a tigger was all part of the fun, that and engine failures, spinning into the trees, frozen knackers the list was endless :E

How much do they charge for an hour in a Tigerschmitt nowdays?
When I flew em they was 3 pounds 6 shillings an hour.

Oh I once passed on three tigers and spares (dilapidated) for $500

I think the nicest looking Tiger in Brisbane is VH-WEM at Flying Fighters. Not sure if it's for hire, but might be worth calling them.
