Cracking show - particularly pleased that the BBMF have suddenly introduced top-side passes in the Spit & Hurricane routines. I'd nearly worn out my prayer mat, so thanks guys :D

Other highlights - Christian Moullec and his geese, Denny's 4-ribbon limbo & cut, Hunter, Sea Vixen, Spit duo... but really all the flying was top class. Thoroughly bloody good day out.

Superb as ever, Damien....looking at the Cherokee Arrow I realise that I used to work on her when she was based at Cambridge - she never used to do anything like that in those days - the little hussy!!!

Looking forward to seeing the Gransden photos - I was going to go (it's only about ten miles from home) but I'm laid up with back trouble

Cheers guys. Nopax - afraid Gransden shots will be a challenge to find a good selection of, day started off with clear skies but at the slightest hint of an air display starting several megatons of cloud moved in a 'nothing to see here' manner. Very dark, almost all day

Thanks for sharing your superb photos with us, most enjoyable, wasn't it a perfect day for an airshow?, I just love that Hunter paint job.

Have you any more of Christian Moullec and his cool Geese? , I must confess I was moved by that sight , I was a bit disappointed not to see them strutting about with shades on in greens after the show ;)

Cracking pictures Sir! Lancing College makes a superb backdrop.

Wunper I understand that Christian Moullec's entourage didn't land because of the prohibitive landing fees they would have incurred!:p

Hi

Yet another set of Gr8 pics.

The Sea Vixen and Hunter are the best 2 of the set I feel but the Strikemaster Is a nice pic 2.

As usual superb photos which bring back memories of Shoreham from many years ago, and maybe DamienB or Synthetic can answer a question.

I am trying to place the direction the 5th photo was taken, the one with the chalk cliff in the background.

Is that looking over the Adur towards the pit where the cement works used to be, foreshortened by the lens ?

Henry

Yes that view is to the NNE of the field that's Old Erringham Farm house just below the Spits and the Old BLue Circle quarry in the background

After the show, we saw Christian Moullec leaning over a couple of pens covered in mesh. We had to go and have a look of course, and were treated to the sight of Christian giving his geese a shower with a squirty bottle of water!

Of course, the geese were more interested in attempting to drink from the bottle than having their shower! :D Christian explained that the process actually helps them to stay waterproof. Anyway, it was wonderful to see these beautiful creatures up close, and I want to wish Christian every success.

Thank you Wunper, good heavens, the old farmhouse has been renovated since I last saw it.

I was there on the Sunday and enjoyed every minute of it... I just hope my photos come out half as well as yours, DamienB!

On a technical note, I was impressed by the extremely steep (maybe 30 - 40 degrees nose down) yet controlled approach to land made by the Tucano... would that have been an example of using the "beta" pitch range of the prop? I believe the Pilatus Porter can do a similar trick...

And the Fox glider aeros were unbelievable... hats off!
