I´ve heard a rumour circulating around EasyJet and Servisair, that EasyJet is planning to enter (or re-enter if you include Go) the Lisbon market from LTN, STN, LGW and GVA next summer season.

Can anyone confirm that this is a new route for Easy?

Not sure, but easyJet are looking at launching new routes as part of their expansion next year rather than just joining current destinations. So maybe. . . . not sure why Go pulled off the route and whether this means that it wouldn't be worth eJ returning to the route?

Well the reason that GO gave when they abandon The Lisbon route was that it wasnt profitable... Mind you most passengers travel with TAP-Air Portugal either from LGW or LHR ...

Go didn't put a great deal of effort in terms of offering a more competitive price...if memory serves correctly, fares started at around £90 return, which wasn't much different to what was already being charged by the likes of BA et al. So, not much of an incentive to trek up to STN.

Now, slash that down to around £50-60, and people will think twice before booking...
