On leaving LGW yesterday at approximately 16:30, there was a Brittania 757 on the taxiway with the crash crew investigating the rear cargo hold. Does anyone have any more info?

Suspected fire in rear cargo. Looked like a precautionary deplane to buses on the taxiway.

Suspected fire in hold 5. Believed reported by cabin crew as no cockpit fire warning.
Landed safe - hot spot detected by fire crew using heatseeking camera - initially planed to de-plane on 08L to buses but engineers decided safe to move to stand.
Towed to stand - pax disembarked normally.

Leased back in for Summer as "standby" aircraft. Normal Britannia interior & config, whitetail exterior. Will probably leave us again at end of Summer.
