Amazing .. after all these years !
From : Soldier (British Army magazine)
On the 23 July 1942 Blenheim Z-7763 , together with her South African crew went missing whilst on a training sortie from Nanyuki in Kenya. The four crew names where added to the names of those missing in action, on the war memorial at El Alamein.
Last year a logger found the crash site and the Kenyan Wildlife service then reported this site to the British Army Training Liaison staff in Kenya. The British Army then sent a team to investigate and a second team has since returned with the remains. These remains are believed to be those of the rear crew, but DNA testing will confirm this. The RAF Personal Management Agency is currently trying to trace the relatives of; 2nd Lt C.H. Allen, 2nd Lt H J P Lemmer, Sgt S Eliastram and Sgt Lloyd Murry.
It appears that the crew got lost in clouds before crashing into the southern slope of Mount Kenya.
