Hi I was wondering if you could help me out as my local RAF careers office can't!

Is it possible to pilot an RAF aircraft if you have corrected vision? I've got quite good eyesight but I need glasses to drive (legally!).

I am -1, -1.5

Does anyone know of any RAF pilots who need corrected vision, or can they all read newspapers from the other side of the room! :D

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to break the news, but the answer is no.

The current standard is 0,0 for entry. if eyesight deteriorates once flying then you can were CFS (corrective flying specs) but unfortunately that won't help you.

You could always try WSO. (i.e. nav)
