I thought that there was only one flying Sea Vixen and that flew over me twice last Sunday. Surely the one at Jurby is a static one.

The Sea Vixen at Ronaldsway is a DH Venom. Very nice condition it is to, though also broken. For the anoraks amongst us it is the camouflaged aircraft with I think 208 Sqn markings.

Apologies, as you say, I am getting my Venoms and my Vixens mixed up. Any idea of the problem?

I am told it is the starter motor. It goes bang and makes lots of smoke but the engine doesn't spin. So far swapping the starter and copious cleaning hasn't fixed it yet.

If anybody knows the solution I'll pass on the advice.
