Heard today that British European are responding to BA 's statement and doing what they do best - prospering on other people's demise. NCL-DUB will be operated by the 146 and a further route still to be announced.

Hudson Bay I too hear your rumours that BE are to step in on the NCL-DUB market with 146 flights and I also believe their as yet to be announced route is from NCL to BHX. The same thing is happening to BA now, as when Gill were around. I wonder if BA will drop the DUB and BHX routes? Afterall if you were a passenger which would you rather fly on, a BE 146 or Dash 8, which are comfortable and actually feel like a proper plane or a BACX J41, where you can't even take handbaggage onboard? And price too BE vs BA?

Now that BACX are dropping the NCL to ORK and CWL routes, two airlines are already thinking of replacing BA on the routes! Namely Aer Arran and Air Wales. Afterall Air Wales were planning an NCL-MAN-CWL service last summer, but it came to nowt. If all these services are added, it means good news for Newcastle travellers, but what the region needs is more European links, to both business centres and leisure destinations. What NCL needs is a low cost carrier. BMI Baby/Ryanair/Easyjet/GO have they or are they considering NCL as a prospective base?
