Pua Fleet

Hi TP !

PLUNA is a joint ventura 25 % uruguayan state, 75 % private.

Small company for small country. Clean accidents record. (I mean at least serious accidents, in other words no crashes)

Fleet:

1 B763ER Used mainly in MVD-MAD route. Leased
1 B757 Used? No idea. Leased
3 B732 Owned by Pluna
1 B732 Leased
1 B733 Leased

Now 2 CRJ900ER and waiting for more, guess 5.

Routes

MDV to GRU, SCL, AEP, PDP, GIG, MAD.

I am open to correction but I think they had or at least planned to have a most interesting route from Montevideo to Madrid via either Recife or Fortaleza in Brazil and Tenerifte (TFN) to Madrid with with a Boeing 757. What a flight! Would love to fly to MVD on such a flight, sounds like a great place.

Oh well, we can dream!

Pluna

Uruguay is a great place, been down there for 15 years or so,wife flew for Pluna for nearly 20 years.Go if you get the chance.Pluna pretty much on its knees at the moment,no more flights to Madrid.

The B767 was returned to the leasing company a few months back

The Madrid operation was losing a load of money and lead investors Leadgate decided to give up and code share with IBERIA

They have also given back their 737s and the fleet is now made up of 5 Bombardiers

The company is heavily indebted and owes cash to ANCAP the state controlled petrol company - my understanding is that they virtually ahve to pay up front for gas - the wto companies are negotiating a payment plan
