Was probably G-BDXH which had transferred from storage at Filton to storage at Exeter.

GrahamK 16th October 2004 23:12

Very sad to se G-BDXH stored. Flew on it from MAN-TFS on an MYT sub after they had retired the DC-10-10s.
My first ever 747 flight, a very pleasant one thanks to the crew of EAF :ok:

Winter Lease

The 1 (or 2?) operational 747's are going back onto a long (3 to 6 month) wetlease during the winter season in the first week of December.

It is my understanding they are going back to Volare, where the aircraft were for almost all of the summer.

Eurekadelta

Sorry but your inof in incorrect.

There were talks that the 747's used earlier in the year may well go back to Volare for Winter...but that has since fallen down.

irishcc 18th October 2004 10:51

Atlanta Europe possibly acquiring one ex EAC B747-200, probably LGW based for winter !

OK, what's going on in BOH ? EAAC are now looking for a Crewing Controller. Thought that post was advertised about 2 months ago, surely not expanding?

eurostar builder 1st November 2004 15:32

One of the 747 at Bournemouth has no engines and another
has only three...

VIKING9 3rd December 2004 16:38

Ok, what is happening at EAC ? Are they down and out or bouncing back - they now need an Ops Manager based at BOH. Surely they should already have one ?????

:uhoh:

Lite 3rd December 2004 17:13

There is currently nothing on their website about any vacancies being available. Where can one find these openings?

VIKING9 3rd December 2004 19:24

well it is posted here Aviationjobsearch.com

surely not 3rd December 2004 20:41

I believe that when all is Done and dusted they do need a new Ops Manager as the current incumbent is moving on.

Well done matey, good luck for the future :ok:

Does that mean a crewing vacancy as well?
