Easy Jet

When do they expect to have the A319 in service??

Localiser Green 2nd Jan 2003 09:48

First delivery is due September '03 so around then I would imagine. The first aircraft are going to EZS (Switzerland) though so no idea when Easjyet UK will start getting some.

Delivery rate of 120 aircraft is 2 per month from Sept 2003 to Sept 2008.

Have to order them first, though, don't they?!

Does anyone have any idea what's going on there? I thought that they had an exclusive 45 day negotiation period, which must be up by now?

I've got a couple of mates looking for 'bus rides and they don't know whether to jump or not... From my personal point of view, I'd be interested to know who's doing their maintenance. With the 'bus being notorious for maintenance costs (deservedly or not), the sweeteners must have been nice, but does that mean they're going to move away from FLS?

Anyone any ideas?

Silly P K B you seemed to have missed the thread on the A319's, so typical of Panda's, too much bamboo and not enough real food (Sarnies!).

First one goes to easySwiss in Sept, A319, not a Panda!

Actually I did own a Panda once, bought it from a Fiat Garage in dog ### red. A bit too slow for a fast trendy bear like me, so let Mrs Buster drive it. Far too slow for her!

Yes, deliveries to easyJet Switzerland start late 2003 (October for first aircraft??) easySwiss will take first 5 aircraft, then first deliveries onto the UK register will commence very beginning of 2004.

No word yet as to where the first UK 319's will be based, but best guess would be LGW?

Buster,

Must've been me dose of Asiatic flu, dontcha know. I'm trying to move to sarnies, but am stuck as the noodles keep slipping out.

Have caught up with the A319 thread, but there's nowt on easy or Airbus' website beyond the "we're gonna do something soon" type stuff from October-ish. Would've thought Airbus would've liked to put the figures in with this year's data to trounce t'other boys in Seattle. How can easy get birds it's not actually ordered? Surely for 9 months time they'd have to have cut metal in TLS (or wherever else), no?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the maintenance provider for the A319s?
