Jet2 launch

Currently parked up at LBA is the first channex 737 in 'Jet2' colours (very nice it looks too).

Should be doing a few circuits for the cameras to coincide with the booking system and www.jet2.com going live at 10:00am this morning.

Destinations are:

Amsterdam
Barcelona
Malaga
Milan - Bergamo
Nice
Palma

Good luck to all involved

Jet2 @ STN

Fantastic livery Jet2 have at STN today (737)- wonder if they will open a base up here?

Localiser Green 11th Dec 2002 16:02

Would imagine it was there for a respray or visiting FLS. Bit too much competition in the EGSS area (Buzz/Go/EZY) for another lo-cost methinks.

Direct HALIFAX 11th Dec 2002 17:06

Do you know of a site where I can find a picture of Jet 2 B737 - (this messgae needs to be at least 20 words long).

eurostar builder 11th Dec 2002 20:14

Its veru unlikey to be repainted as it has only just rolled out the sprayshop at Bournemouth this week.

682ft AMSL 11th Dec 2002 21:12

platespinner - it seems they weren't quite prepared for the level of demand in the immediate aftermath of going live, although in many ways I'm sure they'll be encouraged by the level of interest.

Everything seems to be working OK now though and already some good deals being snapped up by all accounts.

Anyone interested in the livery will get something of an idea from this:

Being owned by EXS, why didn't they start a low cost operation out of BOH? Why LBA?

HOODED 20th Dec 2002 16:39

Why LBA and not BOH? Well probably because of the large catchment area and the fact that it is currently untapped. Just look at the largest urban areas in the UK then look at the nearest LCA base. They're just filling the gap and good on em! I think this will be a huge success for them and who knows maybe they will expand and inlude BOH too! Heres hoping.

Who'll handle Jet2?

Has the handling contract at LBA been awarded to Aviance or Servisair?

BigMarv 6th Jan 2003 10:30

And the prize goes to... Servisair

Silkman 12th Jan 2003 22:18

....But only for 6 months !
