New BA Service Nonstop LHR-USA?

For several weeks now BA has been selling tickets on their nonstop flights from LHR-SAN, PHX and DEN effective the end of October. Just this week they had a fare sale celebrating their new LHR service. However, since Bermuda II does not permit nonstop service to SAN,PHX and DEN, among other cities, is there an US/UK openskies on the immediate horizon that we dont know about yet? I also find it very curious indeed that the other US carriers without access to LHR are not screaming. Also it is interesting that BA has not moved their LGW-ATL, LGW-DFW and ATL-IAH flights to LHR. Those citiers are also the hub cities for DL, AA and CO respectively. Is there anyone out there that can shed light and information as to what exactly going on or is about to happen? Time is running short until the new BA schedules take effect or will they at the last minute switch the flights back to LGW?
Information please.

Bermuda II

I understand there is some obscure fine print in Bermuda II that does allow british carriers who operate to a city not served by an american carrier to operate from either LHR or LGW.

Always read the fine print !!

fine print

not very unusual fine print either I suspect. The same kind of fine print allowed EI to start Baltimore from Ireland as it is a "secondary airport". I suspect PHX etc. gets similar classification, as opposed to say LAX, JFK, ORD or IAD.
