European Aviation Bournemouth

Is there a takeover looming - the relaible grapevine tells me that there is a big announcement iminent???

LGW Vulture 8th Oct 2002 11:23

evolante...does the takeover involve anyone where TF are significant letters?

Aw come on....one day you really will fish and get eaten by the biggest shark out there........

Come to think of it....you and sharks are not strangers - especially those that live North of the border!!!!

Neil Somthing-or-the-other I was told? Apparrently had something to do with British World before? Any ideas?

Kalium Chloride 10th Oct 2002 09:52

Where's does that report come from Evolante?

charterguy 10th Oct 2002 10:37

Sounds promising so long as Neil himself doesn't get involved in the venture. We have all seen what happened to British World and EuroDirect. There is more to running airlines than glossy brochures and 'designer' uniforms.

Holer Moler 13th Oct 2002 13:52

Come on Guys stop de speaking in de code. What is happening at EAC, the rumour is PS is selling out to support the F1 thing.

The aircraft do not seem to be doing much work, 74's and 73.s always parked up at MAN & LGW. One way of ensuring serviceability, not a good way of generating revenue! is this the end for EAL.

411A 13th Oct 2002 21:47

LGW Vulture has thrown out a big hint...surprised no one has noticed....

Util BUS 13th Oct 2002 22:18

It would make sense for Atlanta Icelandic to snap up EEAC. They are busy trying to get a UK AOC, so why not jump the que, especially if they can have an outfit with the classic on the register already.

Holer Moler 14th Oct 2002 21:46

Yes: Looks like TF will make the take over bid, but looks like the 73 will go.

Konkordski 15th Oct 2002 09:49

I wouldn't be so sure it's TF. That report posted up here earlier said the buyer wasn't in aviation at the moment.

Woodman 15th Oct 2002 17:41

Heard that the Icelanders are more interested in buying the Formula One racing team rather than the airline;)

Heard that the Icelanders are more interested in buying the Formula One racing team rather than the airline

Hope so!
I can do two jobs for them then. (I race cars in my sapre time)

blended winglet 15th Oct 2002 23:40

The 74 & A300 were pretty static last week when I was down

I can not believe that anybody even TF would want the racing? team. have they finished the' 01 season yet?

onetogo 16th Oct 2002 02:07

omg...not the guv is it ???

Flightrider 16th Oct 2002 06:26

I'm confused. By TF, do we mean a TF-registered company (i.e. Air Atlanta Icelandic) or is this referring to Terry Fox, former director of EAAC who was rumoured to be stageing a buyout a couple of years back.

sharpshot 16th Oct 2002 07:12

Blended winglet........."the A.300 was static"

Take a closer look.............!!!!!!!!!!

BRISTOLRE 16th Oct 2002 07:29

STATIC A300s EUROPEAN

Those A300s of European have been static for sometime and expect to be, they are for parts only, ex-Air France and will probably never run again.
