EGNM to get low cost operator?

Hearing rumors that LBA management will announce a LCA within a month. Believe they have a 3 daily Ryanair to DUB but apart from that nothing else. Buzz, Go and BMI Baby have all been linked in the past whilst EZY use LBA as a LPL div from time to time. Anyone heard any more?

Well looks like it is just a rumor then, as no one else seems to know anything! Shame really all those Tykes itching to spend their money carefully! Ryanair seem to do ok with just the one route to DUB, imagine the potential if they were to do an onward to Hahn! Germany is unserved from LBA.

Referring back to a previous thread, given the expansion of bmibaby at EMA and the fact that bmi are going to have to find new homes for a good few of those little junglejets, it would seem possible that at least one might find its way up the M1 to LBA.

An extra EM4 at Leeds? They've only recently added ORK and BRU, as well as added frequencies on the Scottish routes, hence the most likely new routes to Europe would probably be to Germany and, say, CPH.

Can you honestly imagine the LBA bosses trying to attract Ryanair to a Hahn route at the same time as bmi to a Frankfurt Main route?

Good point EGNR but BMIR are not strictly a LCA. Yes I believe LBA are trying to woo BMI into new routes but they are also trying to fill the LCA void. So if it is BMI Baby I suspect the Emb's will be looking for a new home a la EMA. Maybe it's someone else then which would'nt upset BMIR but undercutting their routes. There's always the possibility of a new start up I suppose, could call themselves Capitol Baby!

Leeds to Copenhagen ? Sounds revolutionary until you remember that there was just such a link back in the mid-80s. A blue bomber powered by two Darts ran via Newcastle. Ah, but the yield was insufficient !
