Does anyone have good knowledge of Sentra, what the business plan is, and how it intends to reach profitability ? I wish them well, but Manchester-Accra is an unusual choice as the first route for a startup airline

Hope they don't end up like the DC8s that used to go into Stansted in the 80s. If they do start.

What's with these long haul A330 start-ups? First Flypop, then Hans Airways now Sentra Airlines?! It feels like a new generation of EOS Airlines/MAXjet Airways/SilverJet, even UK International Airlines/Zoom Airlines etc and look how that trend ended up during a more favourable economic climate no less!

The A330 is basically the same as the 767 was back then. Cheap and readily available with the adequate range.

There is a greater focus now on tourism travel and visiting friends and relatives so that might help. For those saying travel isn’t back Ryanair just had the busiest March ever so there is hope.

However with MAN-ACC as first route I’m not holding out hope.

Due to C19 so many A330 are parked and homeless that now all clown start ups (flypop / hans) get traction due to the fact that leasing companies need to do something with the metal.

Flypop in the "good times" wasnt looked at and they were trying for years to start, only in C19 finslly they found money and got the units.

There is loads of money in the market as the stocks are not givving the returns right now... and listen nothing sexier than starting an airline...

If they ever start incl Flypop and Hans who are not yet really flying what they were ment to do... it will be game over very fast...

Wishig them well, hope I am wrong... but affraid I will be not..

Its different at least unlike the rehashed Flybe crap.
