These operators and routes tend to go round in cycles. Everyone piles on to the same destination for a few seasons, then most pull out. I guarantee Sun Express and Correndon wont be there in same shape in a few seasons
(and not unique to NCL). |

Mmm, that doesn't sound very encouraging. But lots of Turkey overkill generally (a bit like Christmas)

who would ever have thought you'd have more passengers to Dubai than to Paris? The world has certainly changed!!

They did sell tickets for those flights so if it was pre-planned having to now cancel them and rebook or refund customers is not great PR for a company trying to establish themselves at NCL.
|
It’s not just NCL they have cut back from
I’m guessing they will be suffering like everyone else with staffing |

"DUBLIN IS THE SURPRISE 6 WKLY IS A REALLY LOW FREQUENCY"
Well its 3x the frequency to Malaga - no doubt as passenger numbers increase so will the flights |
Have they run out of fuel at NCL? A lot of outbound seem to be operating via other airports this morning

Yes noticed the TUI 73M on the NCL-CFU only managed as far as EMA, as per FR24 then never made it above FL170, assume all part of the flight plan, & not another "hiccup"...
For clarity AT LEAST ELEVEN departures from NCL this morning diverted (EMA x7), (STN x3) , (CGN x1), there may be many more................ Is this due to industrial unrest, & is it ongoing / resolved ? A significant number of NCL pax affected by this mess, insofar as returning flights then significant delays already eg. LS514 from HER looking like 4 hours due to delays at STN. Bit of a nightmare I'd say. |
Also since my post on the 1st June re Ryanairs Winter 22/23 timetable
Malaga has been increased from 2 to 3 weekly.....Gran Canaria has been re-instated with 2 weekly as has Riga with 2 weekly rotations plus Dublin at 14 weekly. |

It transpires that there was a complete disaster at NCL this morning insofar as fuel availability is concerned. Very surprised that only one comment re this mess,.

Do we know if it was lack of fuel or lack of staff to refuel aircraft? Either way a real mess as others have said. It wasn't mentioned but one or two days last week all early morning departures were delayed, I think it was Thursday or Friday when that was by at least 45 mins to an hour in most cases, maybe connected?

At least one airline has been tanking fuel to NCL for at least the last month. Mainly due to hippies glueing themselves to the tankers leaving the refineries, apparently.

A spokesperson for Newcastle Airport said: "Due to temporary issues with the supply of aviation fuel to a number of airlines, we experienced some limited disruption to flights from Newcastle Airport this morning. "Each airline has a contract with a fuel supplier, who then contract fuel deliveries to haulage companies. "We have been working with all parties to minimise the impact of this disruption and the issue is now resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused." |
We’ve got our vests on and we’re ready to get some lunch now.
never has a quote summed up my beloved fellow NCL passengers so much! |
