Seeing news reports that Go2Sky (ACMI carrier based in Slovakia operating 4 B738s) are on the verge of closure
Anyone able to confirm/deny ?

Well, it wouldn't surprise me, even though I've never heard of them.

All ACMI and Charter operators in Europe are in for a tough 12 months. All the carriers they normally provide extra capacity to over peak seasons won't be taking on that extra capacity this year or next.

Not surprising, given that they have lost the contract with Enter air which provided most of their work last year. Last summer, Enter air operated 24 of their own aircraft, another 4 from Go2Sky and 2 A320s from Electra Airways, a Bulgarian ACMI company. This year, Enter air hardly fly 10 aircraft, which is still a lot below their own capacity (18 aircraft now, following fleet reductions). And it's nowhere near certain that they will need any third-party aircraft next summer as nobody knows whether demand will allow even for filling up 18 aircraft, let alone any extra ones.

At some time this summer, Go2Sky did a short siege in Kosovo for one of the local virtual airlines. Exactly what Smartlynx are doing now with two of their aircraft. But do bear in mind that those Kosovan virtual airlines change their partners very often and can be quite unpredictable medium to long term. So, apparently, it was not enough to ensure the survival of Go2Sky. Which is a great pity as they seemed to be a relatively good company, as compared to many others in the region.

Go2Sky has made the difficult decision to cease all operations, another victim of Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis in aviation. It was unable to survive given lower ACMI demand and lower charter rates.
Go2Sky will cease all operations on September 1, 2020.

Remember a worrying incident, Norwegian Air Shuttle operated by Go2Sky. But no investigation result.

I'm guessing that you're referring to the November 2016 "RTO that never was" at Kristiansand, where (according to Avherald) a Go2Sky B738 operating for Norwegian managed to travel 200 meters from a standing start with the parking brake set. :ugh:

What's not in dispute is the fact that the aircraft subsequently took off and flew to Oslo unpressurised at FL150. Hmmm.

Well, isn't that bizarre beyond reality? And in fact that was not true. IIRC they hardly moved. It's just I don't notice any independent source to reporting facts, so careful with details

Anyway, I believe their business model was based on "pay monkeys ..." and trying to get away when public took a look and demanded an investigation.

I really have a problem: As a pax, people book Norwegian. Sounds trustworthy. They forward pax to Norwegian Air Shuttle? Their aircraft was sold to go2sky and wet leased or the likes? Now that's what ends in unhealthy competition, and I'm glad this "competitive airline" will shut down. Sorry for the employees, but not like that.
