How many flights ?
Hi. Not sure if this the right forum ; Id like to know roughly how many flights a medium size airline like Virgin Atlantic flies in a typical year vs a big airline like BA. Nothing obvious on wiki. Thx |
Hi, this question might be better in Spotters Gallery. If you copy your text and then delete your post. Go the other forum and start again.

Adding non-LHR flights (LGW, MAN, LCY, etc) would bring the totals up a bit (more pro rata for VS), but the ratio will still be at least 10:1. Does that help ? |

Plenty of information on the web at least for UK & US carriers:
https://www.caa.co.uk/Data-and-analy...-reports-2017/ https://www.caa.co.uk/uploadedFiles/...vices_2017.pdf BA flew 290,505 passenger sectors in 2017, Virgin (including a subsidiary that flies to the Carribean) 21,628. You can get all flights for a day for individual airports from sites such as flightradar24. You can cut & paste into a spreadsheet & sort by airline, etc. The US Bureau of Transport Statistics has lots of data. Sadly they are currently shut down thanks to Pres Trump. |
