Ryanair Sun receives first aircraft

SP-RSA a Boeing 737-800 positioned WRO (Wroclaw) to WMI (Warsaw Mazovia)
on March 29th 2018.

daz211 29th Mar 2018 13:44

Is it in Ryanair livery? Or does Ryanair Sun have its own livery?

The96er 29th Mar 2018 14:42

Did it crash, do a go-around, a missed approach, squawk 7700 or what?
Why the condescending remarks ? . The thread starter was simply highlighting a new development to the RYR business that's differs from what we've seen before. This may be worthy of further discussion on this forum by other curious individuals.

That's not normally like you Harry. I know little of Ryanair Sun, however more facts would be welcome, and as others have asked, will it benefit from a new image and colour scheme?

Many thanks The96er, it was all in the subject line (so I thought).

The apparent first flight of the new subsidiary,Ryanair Sun, was carried out by SP-RSA from Wroclaw to Warsaw (MM airport).

It was a Boeing 737-800 (probably a dash 8AS or a dash 800W) twin-engined airliner and it was operated on the Polish aircraft register.

Poland is....

I guess I had better stop now.

We do like a larf, don't we!

Me thinks Harry has imbibed a little too much Red Horse beer! ;)

It's all those cheap beach cocktails he loves!

figgi_gsm 29th Mar 2018 16:47

Ex EI-FEE. Still in FR livery.

DaveReidUK 29th Mar 2018 17:01

First revenue flight due April 26, Poznan–Zakynthos.

RAFAT 29th Mar 2018 22:07

I'm with you Harry, another RYR event that I couldn't give a hoot about!

Hotel Tango 29th Mar 2018 22:37

Get off your high horse RAFAT. I'm no RYR fan either. Never flown with them and never will. However, what the OP posted is valid news for this forum. If you don't give a hoot, don't read the thread!

"Never flown with them and never will"

You've missed a genuine Aviation Experience ............... and regretfully it's the future of commercial aviation

PAXboy 30th Mar 2018 11:14

I took the comment by Harry as an amusing dig at those who normally accuse of RYR of those things - not that he himself was making the accusations.

If the day comes when RYR (or their product) is the only option left, believe me that will be the day I stop flying! ;)

I bet you don't !!

RYR her product got “better and better” last couple of years..

The European legacy carriers are only getting “worse and worse” last couple of years..

KLM is now going to do a “test” at Schiphol on european flights to board 737 also from the back..

That'll be interesting on a rainy windy day as they decide NOT to use the finger. Given that KLM has allocated seating what difference does it make? In days of yore, when boarding via a finger, it was done rear rows first, then mid section etc. I asked KLM gate staff why this was stopped. They were too young to remember. However, at one of their foreign outstations it was still done. Worked a charm. Sometimes the old ways are the best; so says my grandma.

How much do you want to bet? :) I can assure you that I will never fly on RYR or any airline which promotes their type of product. Don't misunderstand that as meaning no LoCo carriers. I do fly on LoCo carriers, but I'm very choosy which. And if push comes to shove, I have plenty of countries around me easily reached by car (I have no Channel to cross).

They already do this at various outstations. MAN is one where they board through the Airbridge and the bag steps similar to how BA do it at MAN. Turnarounds are approx 10-15mins quicker.
