Agree.100%. About at least 10 years to late unless the inter Island flights are up for renewal a strange one alright.

Completely agree that this would be better placed serving the un-served Irish/British and German regionals rather than what has been put on offer. Quite baffling to me but I wish them well!

Quote from a local paper in Tenerife...... Lattitude Hub, the parent company of the Canarian Airways that intends to connect the Archipelago with national and European destinations as of June, lacks financial solvency and has a high risk of insolvency. This is evidenced by the data of their accounts and the financial information deposited by the company in the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (Borme). This company at the moment only has a paid-up share capital of €195,000, a small amount if you take into account the investment of four million euros announced for the new airline during its presentation.

New terminal planned - I'm surprised given the recently opened terminal expansion. That said, TFS can feel rather busy at peak times.

Will there be enough beds, either already or under construction to absorb the planned additional airport passenger capacity ?

Looks like a good result for the police... (and passengers)..

Fourteen workers at one of Spain’s main airports for tourists have been arrested on suspicion of stealing items from checked-in luggage, police have said.

Police seized allegedly stolen items worth almost two million euros (£1.72 million), including about 13,000 euros (£11,156) in cash, from the group of employees at the largest airport in Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands, a statement said on Friday.

Another 20 airport employees are under investigation.
