Does anyone know of any 777 flights operating internally in Europe/UK???

I only know of Saudi Arabian Airlines offering a daily service between FCO and CDG.....does anybody know of any other services existing anywhere within Europe/UK???

Cheers guys,

United does i think a daily flight US-LHR-AMS-LHR-US. I think i it origens from chicago. I'm not sure if it is a B772 or a B763.

Varig does flights Brazil-LHR-COPENHAGEN-LHR-Brazil. Those are B772's. Used to be MD11's. Don't know if it is daily though.

I am pretty sure BA have or still do use 777's on the LHR-CDG service.

I can't remember ever seeing BA 777s going to CDG from London... certainly not in the current economic climate!!!!

BA triples do sneak onto European routes, but I think its a case of 'as and when required', not actually timetabled. I have seen one in Hanover!

atco-matic,
I agree it is most unlikely in the present climate.
However if you have a look at www.airliners.net and search for BA 777's at CDG you will see a number of them captured on camera in the past.

BA do oocasionally use 777s and sometimes even 747s on European routes. Reasons vary, including consolidating previously cancelled services, special events (eg sports fixtures) and even shortages of short haul cabin crew.

Apparently a BA777 did DUB-LGW during the EI lockout lately...

Rumet 5th Jun 2002 13:27

BA 777 LHR-CDG and even LHR-ORY was mainly between end 1995 and mid-1997, with several daily flights scheduled on 777s for what I understand was crew training purposes.

Shuttle nine Tango 7th Jun 2002 02:27

BA 777's were scheduled LHR-CDG in the early days for crew training purposes.
Nowadays used in Euro for service consolidation as was stated earlier.

>I have seen one in Hanover!

The BA 777's were used to Hanover during of the computer fair that took place there over a month ago.

MD11/A330 IN EUROPE

Since we are on the subject of 777s in Europe, I note that Swiss are still running their MD11s/A330s on the first ZRH-LHR flight most days. I flew on an A330 from FRA to ZRH 2 years ago..40 min flight and about 40 passengers!
