New BizJet service from ... Air France ?!
 

Continuing a proud French tradition of adopting names with unfortunate connotations in the English language, AF delivered a posse of journalists to Châteauroux via their new biz-jet partners, Wijet (to view the new, locally-made, 1st class seats).

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I find it hard to understand why a company that presents itself as offering a high-quality, professional service to premium clients thinks it can get away with a shoddy in-house translation.

"Vingt journalistes parisiens ont posé les pieds sur le tarmac de l'aéroport de Châteauroux, hier matin, à l'invitation d'Air France. Ils étaient partis de l'aéroport du Bourget, quelques minutes auparavant, à bord de jets privés de la compagnie Wijet. La première compagnie de taxi-jet en France n'avait pas été choisie par hasard par Air France.

Un partenariat sera prochainement signé entre les deux compagnies. Mais ce n'était pas le but du voyage de presse auquel La Nouvelle République n'a pas été convié."
