GreenJetAirlines (AthensEleftherios Venizelos International (ATH)) plans to launch charteroperations shortly with the A320-200 LY-COS (c/n 415) operated by Avion Express(X9, VilniusInternational (VNO)) and managed by Spanish ACMI carrier Cosmo Airlines(MadridBarajas (MAD)). Source:CHAviation |
Wonder if this will be operated out of Manchester or LGW or else where.....?????
|
So in what sense does this make GreenJet an airline? Not only is the aircraft on someone else's AOC, but now it's "managed" by a different entity again.
:ugh: |
Hmmm, Manx2 springs to mind. Lesson 101 in how to avoid responsibility for anything......................
|
Any news on this airline have not heard a thing since.

anywhere to send a cabin crew application ?

You cannot blame the punter who will end up stuck in Southern Europe half way through the season when an operation like this folds. But you can blame the touroperators/travel agents stupid enough to book with operators like this.....
|
These days those Tour Operators have so much choice don't they? Gone are the days when a dozen charter airlines were chasing their business.
Maybe Joe Public has himself to blame for demanding ever cheaper prices and creating the system where airlines of the past could no longer compete. Pay a rubbish price and guess what you can expect. Destroy all the little independent tour operators and you will be left with a monopoly situation ( it is going that way already) and then watch what happens to prices. |
Picture of aircraft currently in Budapest. Things appear to be happening, just be a case of when as this venture has been on the cards for ages now.
Just Hope they make a better go of it than before Photos: Airbus A321-131 Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net |
who had the aircraft before? I see it's sitting in BUD. SX is the reg code for Greece. No mention of Green Jet in the reference. Could it be going to Aegean? Would make more sense or maybe it's ex Aegean?

Can anyone help provide info as to whether or not this 'airline' ever flew commercially?
Thanks |

Thanks for the reply MKY661 :) - is there anyway / anywhere I can go to confirm this? (not that I don't believe you for one second - I could just do with something 'official'!)

Bump! (or should that be turbulence! lol - sorry, amused me!!)
|
Will this do? :)

That is fab - thank you! :D
I am being a real pain now, and I do apologise... but is there anywhere that shows the date that the company closed? (although I can't see that they ever did anything - did they ever do more than put their livery on a plane and take some photos??) Many thanks! Nats |
