America's most picturesque airfield...

I have been asked to photograph the three most picturesque airfields in the US. The only condition is that they have to theoretically be able to accomodate a Learjet 60XR, so a field length of (SL, ISA, MGTOW) 5,450ft.

I am looking for dramatic surroundings; snow capped mountains, desert, palm trees etc...

I'd love to hear about your favourites.

Many thanks,

McH

Pine Mountain Lake in California was the best I have been into. I flew in as a passenger in a Cessna 401 on the way to Yosemite.

Somebody had a Lear Jet 23 based there, whether you can get a Lear Jet 60 in I am not sure.

Wy not ask the guys taking part in the 'which aerodrome' thread. They are a genuine fountain of knowledge for a thread that is always a pleasure to follow.
