...and the airline which looses the most bags in Europe is?
|
haha. I read this yesterday. Top right corner...in assoc. with BA...funny it would slate their rivals.

More work for the Mods. Read the stickies. And "looses": really.

No break down in those figues.
Where the bags local check-in, or where the bags connecting through to BD from other airlines like BA and AA to name a few that tend to cause problems. Or BD to BD. |
While is see your point, a lost bag is a lost bag.
As fas as a passenger see's it, Its the Airlines fault who they booked with. |
Unfortunately, that is the problem, it is the last carrier on an itinerary that has to deal with the problem, so when bags are delivered late by an incoming carrier, it is the onward airline that has the missing bag added to their statistics. Having said that the article does smack of BA propoganda. :=

The passenger tends to blame the poor sod sitting at the desk at the destination - as if they're personally responsible for loading their bag onto the wrong flight at the other end:rolleyes:

Doesn't mention that Bmi regional were the most punctual 3 years running either. And normally we don't lose any bags, but had to leave a few behind before though! :\

Andy Lord, British Airways' operations director, said:
"Customer feedback is consistently really good and we have never had such positive feedback from our monthly customer surveys." |
"BA lost 450,000 passenger bags this summer - one in every 53 pieces of luggage it carried"
Taken from yesterdays Daily Mail. Online at www.dailymail.co.uk Check this one out, seems BA cant talk either about loosing bags. If you are going to have a jab at bmi at least get your baggage dept running first before saying stuff about good old BD. Eat your words BA. Yes BD are last I am not getting away from that fact. |

Eat your words BA. If you look at some more up to date info, you will find that BA lost 12 in 1000 bags in November, which is outstanding - better than LH, AF, KL or IB from their respective hubs. This is mainly because all flights have now moved across to T5, which has a very good baggage system. |

Eat your words BA. Yes BD are last I am not getting away from that fact. BA released statistics for November, showing 12 lost bags per 1000 customers to put the April-October figures into context and show the gradual improvement in T5's operations. Credit where credit is due, T5 has resulted in a massive step-change in BA's performance in punctuality and baggage handling. |
If Ba's performance had not improved massively there definitely would be something wrong, lets face it they were handed a brand new multi-million pound termial on a plate !
